The exhibition of Yemen "9000" in Tokyo ended on Oct 15. Thank you very much for all visiting us!
The concept of this exhibition was to convey the charms of Yemen the “birthplace of the coffee culture".
More than 70 people participated in the two-day Yemen workshop held at the end of the exhibition, exceeding the maximum number of participants, and nearly 200 people visited the exhibition during the period.
The Yemeni coffees on display and for sale at the exhibition were also sold well. Many people purchased them after discovering the taste of authentic Yemeni coffee for the first time. I think we were able to create a very meaningful exhibition to expand the awareness of people to Yemen.
What impressed me personally throughout the exhibition was the number of travelers who visited Yemen before, most of them said "Yemen is the most impressive country I've ever visited". And they were amazed to see photos of Yemeni cityscapes and landscapes unchanged from their past visits.
And what Mr. Tarek, the CEO of Mocha Origins said in his presentation of the workshop about "restoring the former glory of Yemen", and the fact that the local Yemeni people still live in ancient buildings that are thousands of years old and that the streets have not changed over the decades showed me the national character of Yemeni people that values the history and traditions of their country.
Perhaps it is the desire to return to the days when Yemen was once a prosperous shipping hub and known as the "Fortune of Arabia," rather than modern economic development. Until that day comes, we are going to continue our activities and efforts.
Again, thank you very much for all your cooperation and support in holding this exhibition. And I would also like to thank all of you who helped me in the midst of my reckless one-man operation. I will be careful from now on.
